Yahoo Finance Integrates BTC, ETH, and LTC Leaving out Ripple or Bitcoin Cash

Yahoo Finance recently announced official integration of list of cryptocurrenices which included such big names as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC). One of the most notable aspects here was that the major platform hence surprisingly left cryptocurrencies such as Ripple (XRP) or Bitcoin Cash (BCH) out of the recent integration.

According to crypto community, the recent positive development by the major platform of Yahoo Finance in digital currency market is “impetus for crypto adoption”. After the official announcement by the company was released, it was confirmed that users of the platform can now buy and sell the listed three major cryptocurrencies.

Back in March this year, Yahoo Japan Corp. announced that an exchange platform will be opened in April 2019 or later.  Yahoo Japan Corp., which was originally built to be a joint venture between the American internet giant and the Japanese company SoftBank, is now one of the biggest online auction sites in Japan.

And hence back in April this year, Yahoo Japan confirmed the acquisition of a minority stake, which had been reported to be 40%, in the exchange BitARG. The platform is planned to be their key base in the crypto-industry. Meanwhile the exact value of the investment has not been ascertained however according to some sources that figure could reach from 2 billion to 3 billion yen.

At the same time, back to the interesting fact of exclusion of Ripple and Bitcoin Cash by Yahoo Finance makes it an even more interesting development in the market. The fact that the platform integrated Litecoin over the major and better performing and valued cryptocurrencies shows that Yahoo is not following the rather standard coin hierarchy in the crypto market of today. In any case, the move has been called to be “no doubt an important step for the adoption of cryptocurrencies as the future of payment”.
