Tron Foundation recently introduced a new product called TronChat which was reportedly developed as a result of a successful partnership with dApp. The key description of the newly introduced app is the promising the statement of “Share media, chat and earn Tron”.
According to the official information shared by the company, the new app combines the functionality of Instagram, Venmo and Telegram. The new product has also been unofficially called a “blockchain baby” of the listed major social platforms.
The key message states: “social media was never built for you to make money. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and others were built for the sole purpose of generating profits for the platforms based on your user activity and personal data. TronChat was created to fix this paradigm, and allow users to make money from their everyday interactions with social media”.
The announcement went on explaining: “as lifelong developers with an expertise in social media, we wanted to do more than wait for someone to create the first “killer” dApp for the blockchain world. TronChat allows anyone and everyone to easily earn TRX for doing the things they love most on social media, bringing true use and utility for both cryptocurrency and blockchain technology”.
Users hence will be able to make use of the same features as in other popular social media platforms including i.e. sharing photos, videos, stories, messaging, chatting, chatrooms, sending TRX via messages, creating premium/subscription based content and direct notifications. In addition, there will also be a tipping functionality so users can tip each other using TRX tokens.
The announcement also confirmed that the development process of both iPhone and Android versions of the app are almost 60% completed. The official release of these versions can be in fact announced at any time and the users will be accordingly informed about the developments of the new versions.
