Ripple (XRP) was recently announced to be added to a major crypto ATM platform, Netcoins which is currently installed at thousands of stores around the world.
The original announcement by Netcoins was made yesterday, on August 13 on the company official Twitter page which stated: “it’s an exciting Monday! We’ve listed Ripple, available for immediate purchase, via our OTC Private Brokerage Services business and our 21000+ retail locations in Australia, Europe and Canada! Find out more on our newsblog”.
Netcoins is a leading software developer based in Vancouver. According to the company, their software is supported on computers, iPads, smart phones and other devices. The main objective of the company is allowing retailers to become crypto resellers. Due to its technology, Netcoins turns wifi-enabled devices into virtual crypto ATMs instead of installing bulky ATM hardware.
The platform allows selling cryptocurrencies in amounts of $10, $20, $50 and $100. In order to enter the system, customers are requested to provide personal details including full name and driver’s license. “Vendors earn a commission on each transaction and can use the service to attract mainstream customers who are looking to buy crypto but aren’t interested in taking the time to open an account on a cryptocurrency exchange. Customers on the check-out line who buy crypto will receive an email detailing the transaction along with a wallet that contains the specified amount of crypto requested. It allows shoppers to acquire crypto as easily as getting “cash back” at the grocery store”, states the company information claiming that in-store process is seamless.
Netcoins CEO, Mark Binns commented on the recent addition stating: “by adding more coins, we give our customers more options to buy and our resellers more ways to earn commissions. Ripple completes the top 3 cryptos in our portfolio, and makes our platform more attractive, yet again, to other paying altcoins. Our engineering team is executing perfectly, adding Ripple one business day after Litecoin, giving our sales team even more ammunition to bring in LaaS recurring revenue coin listing deals as well”.
