Ripple (XRP) Now Accepted as Payment Method on Bitcoin Superstore

Bitcoin Superstore, which is an online base retailer, yesterday, on August 6, announced that the platform will officially be accepting Ripple (XRP) as a payment method. According to the official announcement, XRP can currently be used to make purchases on over 200,000 online stores.    

As of now, the online base retailer accepts payments in other 5 cryptocurrencies in addition to Ripple. The officially supported digital currencies by the retailer include: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dash (DASH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH).   

The original official announcement by Bitcoin Superstore was made on company Twitter page which stated: “we are excited to announce our acceptance of Ripple! Customers can now buy from nearly any online retailer with Ripple! What does the XRP community think of our addition?”

Bitcoin Superstore earlier had partnered with Wirex after what the support towards XRP token to their Visa card was announced. After this, the number of sign-ups and transactions on the platform has reportedly increased measurably.   

As confirmed by Bitcoin Superstore, users are now able to instantly complete transactions with XRP as they make purchases from list of international online outlets. The list of these online stores includes such major brands as e.g. eBay, Amazon and others. In addition, the readers were reminded that XRP is a convenient payment method which has proved to be cheaper than other cryptocurrencies for both the online sellers who accept the token and the users who use the token for purchase.      

As to opinion from Ripple, the CEO of the company, Brad Garlinghouse had earlier stated that through mass adoption of the coin can XRP be decoupling from Bitcoin influence. In addition, the company confirmed that XRP has more utility than predicted and hence they have been measurably cooperating with NGOs and donating measurable funds to humanitarian causes and charity.
