Ripple recently announced about partnering with Malawian non-government organization, Raising Malawi with the aim to raise funds for welfare of orphans and susceptible children across the country. Raising Malawi is an NGO which has the main goal of providing health services and education support to children through direct sponsorship.
The official statement by Senior Vice President of Ripple, Eric Van Miltenburg confirmed that mutually with the NGO they will be launching a special one month long Facebook campaign in order to involve people who may be interested in supporting the initiative. Van Miltenburg also informed that the campaign has already officially started yesterday, on July 30 and will last till August 30.
“We’re honored to be a part of Raising Malawi’s amazing work with some of the world’s most underserved children and are grateful to our investors at Sound Ventures for making the introduction to us and this important cause”, concluded the official statement by Van Miltenburg.
Raising Malawi NGO was founded back in 2006 and as of now the organization has provided direct financial support to over 10,000 orphans and vulnerable children in the country. The official message by the company states: “Raising Malawi believes that prone children should not “just survive” and they are hard at work forming beneficial partnership with local supporters so that these children find better opportunities to learn and develop their careers and lives. Since inception, the NGO has set up a pediatric and ICU unit in Malawi to specifically meet the needs of these children”.
Meanwhile the field enthusiasts would surely know that these types of cooperation are not happening for the first time for Ripple as the company has been actively contributing in development of noble educational, wildlife and humanitarian causes.
