Founder and CEO of Tron, Justin Sun today, on July 30 held ‘Blockchain the Global Ecosystem’ Livestream where he talked about all the recent key developments of the company and shared updates on the launch of Tron Virtual Machine.
As confirmed by the Founder, beta version of Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) has been successfully launched. Throughout upcoming months, Tron community members will be testing the machine before the official launch of the final version which is planned to take place on August 30.
“The Tron Virtual Machine is completely compatible with Ethereum but is faster and more affordable. The beta version is going to be more stable, more secure and equipped with optimized compile and instruction set. The ecosystem including the development tools and the developing team will eventually bring about a more efficient and user-friendly virtual machine with higher performance”, stated Sun.
It was also informed that currently more than 40 exchanges have already completed the migration from ERC20 tokens to Tron TRX. No financial losses reportedly incurred by the users during the migration process.
At the same time, Sun officially confirmed that as of now Tron Foundation burned more than 92,424,664,154 ERC20 tokens which are reportedly over 92% of the total TRX tokens. Rest of the tokens will remain valid on major exchanges like Binance and Gate.io.
Sun also talked about the launch of TRX contracts on BitMEX as well as new options for the users to purchase TRX. Users are given the opportunity to purchase Tron tokens using credit cards on Changelly which means even wider acknowledgment for the coin in the market.
While talking about support of Ledger and Freewallet, Sun stated that recent developments will measurably contribute in improvement of user experience for all the TRX holders.
In addition, Sun also mentioned the recent acquisition of BitTorrent expressing his strong belief in the two companies mutually becoming the largest decentralization ecosystem in the world very soon.
