Today, on July 28, Freewallet officially announced the launch of the first ever digital wallet fully dedicated to Tron ’s coin TRX. According to the passed official information, Freewallet hence becomes one of the first top companies which will be fully supporting TRX.
As reported, the newly released wallet will be available to use on Android. In addition, the wallet was also added to Multiwallet that is available on both Android and iOS.
The new wallet by Freewallet will be possible to top up with any supported cryptocurrency, while the Multiwallet app will give the users opportunity to manage multiple coins and cross-exchange them in one single platform.
The announcement also clarified that the users of Freewallet will not need to deposit their ERC-20 TRX to an exchange platform in order to be able to swap them for the new TRX, unlike the case with Tron holders. “All Freewallet users that have any TRX (ERC-20) in their Token Wallet on July 25rd will have their tokens automatically swapped for the new TRX, accessible via Tron Wallet and Multiwallet with zero effect on the balance” explained the announcement.
Co-founder of Freewallet, Alvin Hagg commented on the cooperation stating: “we have always tried to be the first to support coins that make an impact on cryptocommunity. TRX is the 11th cryptocurrency right now and we are proud to help holders to make transactions right after mainnet launch”.
Freewallet is a major company that has been creating digital currency hosted wallets which offer built-in exchange. The platform operates on web, iOS and Android devices while supporting overall of 25 cryptocurrencies including such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Monero, Bytecoin etc. The very first cryptocurrency wallet was developed by the company back in January 2016.
