Founder of Ripple and Stellar Lumens is Named one of Top 10 Blockchain Individuals

New York Times and The Post recently named the co-founder of Stellar Lumens (XLM), Jed McCaleb one of the world’s top ten blockchain individuals.

The announcement was officially shared by Stellar earlier via company official Twitter page. The original message stated: “Jed McCaleb, Stellar co-founder named as one of ten most influential individuals in blockchain revolution”.

It was reported that the list of the people that are leading the “Blockchain Revolution” in addition to McCaleb include: the Founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, the Chief Executive of Lightning Labs, Elizabeth Stark and many other professionals and entrepreneurs in the blockchain industry.

Ever since the news of the company co-founder being placed in top ten of blockchain industry individuals was officially disseminated, Stellar (XLM), which is currently seventh most recognized cryptocurrency in the world, reportedly has been gaining popularity in the market.

According to the Post, the top ten list includes McCaleb due to his expertise in the field and the contribution in three major companies he had been engaged with over the past years. The three major projects of McCaleb include Ripple, where he was basically the founder and before it he was actively working in creation and development of Mt. Gox. Most importantly, McCaleb is currently fundamental co-founder of Stellar.

While Ripple is yet one of the most prominent projects of McCaleb, Mt. Gox has been also highly popular as back in 2014 the platform was named to be the largest cryptocurrency exchanger in the world that completed over 70% of world’s BTC transactions.

The recent news is highly believed to bring a new wave of value increase for the coin as well as increase popularity of the cryptocurrency among the potential holders and investors.
