Blockchain.com, which is a UK-based crypto data supplier and a digital wallet for cryptocurrencies, recently announced about the official launch of a comprehensive institutional platform – Blockchain Principal Strategies (BPS).
According to the official information passed by the company, the new platform will provide secure access to services, research institutions as well as family businesses and retail investors.
The co-founder of Blockchain.com, Peter Smith made an official comment about the new initiative stating that the new institutional grade platform aims at providing maximum security for investors. “BPS provides clients the opportunity to invest in digital assets with the same peace of mind and security that has become synonymous with the Blockchain name”, said Smith.
The company also informed that BPS is currently offering “a number of trading and research tools including over-the-counter (OTC) trading desk, smart Order Management System (OMS), custom portfolio view, risk metrics, as well as access to a research team”. The team reportedly includes Garrick Hileman who is the University of Cambridge’s first academic specialised in cryptocurrencies. Hileman was hired by Blockchain.com back in May this year.
Blockchain.com which was previously known as Blockchain.info recently tweeted about changing the URL of their platform. The official post stated: “http://Blockchain.info has moved. You may have noticed that all of http://blockchain.info’s URLs have now been redirected to http://blockchain.com, but don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye to .info forever, it’s just a see you elsewhere!”
Blockchain.com was launched back in 2011 and is now one of the most popular crypto wallets in the world. The platform currently offers more than 25 million registered wallets and $200 billion worth of assets transacted in 140 countries. It was originally launched as a data supplier for transactions in Bitcoin, however now the platform offers crypto wallets for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Etherium.
