The founder and CEO of Tron, Justin Sun recently announced that Tron will be partnering with vSport to work on development of the soccer industry’s blockchain technology. According to the announcement the two companies will be supporting each other by sharing content and creating communities that will increase the reach of the project.
Sun made the announcement on his official Twitter page expressing his excitement on the new partnership which, as he believes, will be a “powerful alliance to leverage blockchain technology for solving issues in soccer”.
vSport aims at building a sports ecosystem partnering with leading networks such as Tron and authorized distributors of the World Cup. The eventual goal is to make payments easier and more scalable in the industry. The mutual project with Tron is reportedly dedicated to creating a public chain for the Global Sports Industry and is believed to be the world’s first non-profitable blockchain platform that involves tokens.
According to the agreement both of the companies will be sharing collaborative techniques, resources, and energy which will all be aimed at creating a decentralized web platform to make the blockchain technology more mainstream. In addition, a special community is going to conduct an assessment of the members that will contribute to the project.
Justin Sun later commented on the initiative stating that “soccer is the biggest sport in the world. It has the largest fan base, and the community has always had a keen sense and great enthusiasm for new things. Combining soccer and sports in general, with blockchain technology will effectively expand community support for blockchain. This will provide people with an enhanced experience of blockchain and even change their lifestyles.”
vSport currently holds a large traffic with reportedly more than 30 million sports enthusiasts and 15 million supporters from China. The representatives of the company highlighted the special importance of the recent initiation during the 2018 Russia World Cup which is scheduled to start next month. Tron and vSport will work towards creating a results forecasting platform which will be based on the blockchain technology that eventually will provide better quality entertainment for the fans.
