A gambling and cryptocurrency magnate wants to build a “Bitcoin Cash” tourist resort in Antigua. Canadian entrepreneur Calvin Ayre has invested millions in cryptocurrencies and plans to build a five-star resort that accepts Bitcoin Cash, for online reservations and for all services offered within the resort.
It is not the first entrepreneur to believe in Bitcoin Cash, many argue that the cryptocurrency should already be mature to allow the management of multiple transactions to compete with companies such as PayPal and Visa.
Calvin Ayre Media Group, which includes CoinGeek.com, a cryptocurrency news site, states that Bitcoin Cash has been selected as an exclusive cryptocurrency “because it is the only cryptocurrency that has low transaction costs”.
The design work is already underway and should be the first of many “Ayre Resorts” around the world, which should open its doors next summer 2018.
The Bitcoin Cash resort will open next summer.
Ayre, who also acts as special economic envoy for the Antigua and Barbuda government, said: “In my discussions with the government on the project, we agreed that the new resort was very much in line with the government’s strategy for further tourism development. high level. This resort will attract a completely new market segment of tourism on the island: wellness seekers who also want to have fun. The property will not be an all-inclusive destination, but its services will be available to residents of Antigua and Barbuda and to visitors. I am confident that the type of guest we attract will want to explore Antigua – its culture and history, as well as all of our many attractions and activities. We are focused on creating a very special market, a world-class resort and an unforgettable experience, but also a structure that benefits the economy in general throughout the island “.
